A lot of our guest said we should to write about this backpackers or
travellers sailing trips from Panama to Colombia or Cartagena to
Panama by San blas islands.
Nice. We did the tradittional crossing from Cartagena de indias to san
blas and the other way round during moor that one year and the last
year we have improve the route to make it between Sapzurro /Capurgana
in colombia and Miramar in Panama. About 15 private boats make this
crossing not regularely, and about 3 or 4 regularety, 2 between
sapzurro and panama and 2
In the way cartagena -panama.
The difference are on to visit san blas 2 days go to cartagena (if the
master is good) , or to visit 4 days san blas islands if you going to
sapzurro / capurgana in colombia. On cartagena its moor
easy to find a boat by be a important port and on the way for a lot
people...you will sailing 2 days across the high sea until san blas
islands for to visit 2 days moor.
The another route its too pleasant and intereresting , but you will
need travel a litte moor by colombia to visit Sapzurro and Capurgana.
Wonderfull place in the best of colombia and caríbean...idyllic, as to
put on the last edition of loneny planet book.
You will spend 4 days to visit san blas , each day on a new area. The
best its sailing about 6 hours and stay on the islands until the next
day.
The cost its the same, 375 $ usa moor or less including food. [If you
pay less we are sure that you will find no good surprise].
Way its cost that?
For example our boat cost not less of 600$ usa by day, with 2 cabins
for 2 guest each and private bathrooms = 4 guest at 150 $ a head -day
or...for this special crossing , 600 $ / 8 guest = 75 $ day -head * 5
days on board = 375 $ a head.
This price its the minimum that a acceptable boat can ask for
travel-expenses without include the cooking-serves. Also according
with the standar charter cheaps on the caribean area.
Where to find a boat?
Bien, if you leave from cartagena you can ask boats on the hostals,
Casa Viena, Holidey, Media Luna hostel..., from Panama , Mamallena,
Lunas Castle, Casco Viejo.
